Bianca Herrera is a 2017 graduate of Radford University with a BA in Marketing. Bianca was born and raised in New Jersey but moved to Virginia where she spent her high school and college years. Bianca first heard about CP through a friend and fell in love with CP and their mission. She answered the call Christ placed on her heart to serve as a missionary for a year with her fellow CP missionaries."Our culture today is hurting because it is seeking love in all the wrong places, this message of true love, of reminding others whose they belong to, needs to be spread. I became a missionary to spread this message.”

I Need Help
By Bianca Herrera  •  August 17th, 2019

Have you ever said this out loud to another person? Have you ever looked at someone in the eye and said, “ I need help.” I’m not talking about those times we need someone to help carry groceries or open the door, I’m talking about those times when we are face to face with the…

To my sister struggling with an Eating Disorder
By Bianca Herrera  •  July 18th, 2019

Dear Sister, I see you. I see the ways you keep track of your calories, skip meals, avoid fried food, sweets, breads.   I see how you pretend not to be hungry or occupy your time to avoid/ ignore the hunger.  I see you rush in and out of the bathroom after meals.  I see you…

Dating in 2019
By Bianca Herrera  •  June 21st, 2019

Dating? We don’t. We don’t date in 2019 because we’ve lost the art and value of dating. Instead, we’ve settled for hooking up. We’ve convinced ourselves that we desire this non-committal, on a whim, temporary “love.” We have settled for lust, this ugly counterfeit for love. Why? I mean look around, where do we see…

How Can Engaged Couples Show Affection Before Marriage But Also Abstain From Sex?
By Bianca Herrera  •  April 17th, 2019

What a great question; I’ve often pondered this before. I never really understood the struggle that could be there, I just always thought “Well if you’re practicing chastity while you’re dating it just naturally transfers over;” It wasn’t until I  became engaged that I understood more deeply this question. Now while yes, if you are…

Save Sex or Safe Sex?
By Bianca Herrera  •  March 26th, 2019

“ I really respect Chastity and all that you said, it was a good talk, I enjoyed it, I just wanted to ask what made you want to speak on Chastity and not on safe sex, because the reality is by the time high schoolers graduate high school they have already had sex.” This was…

The Thief of Joy
By Bianca Herrera  •  March 19th, 2019

Theodore Roosevelt once said “Comparison is the thief of  joy.” This pierces right through me; he is so right. Whenever we compare our brokenness, our weakness, our wounds, our flaws, whether they be physical, intellectual or spiritual, we lose sight of the gift that we are; we lose sight of our uniqueness. We dehumanize ourselves;…

To My Sister Who is Thinking About Having an Abortion
By Bianca Herrera  •  February 20th, 2019

Dear Sister, I don’t know you. I don’t know your story. I don’t how you got to this place. I know you must be scared, feel pressured, or maybe even thinking, why me? I see you. I am right here with you. And if you permit, I’ll walk with you in this. I am so…

Am I Beautiful?
By Bianca Herrera  •  February 17th, 2019

Am I beautiful? Am I enough? Am I captivating? Am I worthy of love? Ironic isn’t it. Part of my job is to speak on what authentic beauty is and yet, I grapple with it and ask myself these questions. For as long as I could remember I placed my identity, my perception of beauty,…
