Fall Training 2019 Week 3

September 24th, 2019

Sexual Integrity Presentations

Week 3 was spent working on our Sexual Integrity (SI) presentations. The men and women are split up to hear the gender specific presentations given by veteran missionaries Johni & Erick.

Unlike our Human Dignity and Social Media presentations, Sexual Integrity is given without a speaking partner. This allows for a more personal account of living out sexual integrity. It is also a presentation that gives us the opportunity to share stories from our lives that helped us realize our authentic masculinity and femininity.

Complementarity of the sexes.

Fall Training 2019 Week 3
Dr. Greg Bottaro

Dr. Greg Bottaro of the Catholic Psych Institute gave us a session on the complementarity of the sexes. One of the biggest takeaways was that it is good that men and women struggle to communicate. Why you may ask? It is because we are different, and that is to be celebrated. This allows us to grow deeper in virtue by allowing us to love the opposite sex the way they need to be loved.

Thank you so much for all your prayers. As we begin week 4 of Fall Training we are experiencing the “honeymoon phase” of mission life wear off. This is when the rubber hits the road. Please continue to pray for us as we enter in community life while learning all of our presentations.
