Big News: New CEO of The Culture Project

October 8th, 2024

Dear Supporters, Prayer Partners and Friends,

I’m writing to share an important update as The Culture Project embarks on a new chapter. After a decade of leading this mission, I have stepped down as CEO with a full heart. It is with great confidence and gratitude that I pass the baton to Greg Schleppenbach, who has graciously accepted the role of our new CEO.

Over the past two years, Greg has served as our Executive Director and has excelled in every way. His extensive experience in the pro-life movement, combined with his deep connection to The Culture Project’s mission, makes him the ideal leader for this new chapter. Greg understands the heart of our work—to restore culture by proclaiming the dignity of the human person and the beauty of virtue. With him at the helm, I have no doubt that our mission will continue to flourish and inspire many more lives.

Greg’s leadership is rooted in a profound understanding of what it means to build a culture of life. He often says, “The only way we are going to turn our cultural ship toward a civilization of life and love is to radically invest in helping young people to know who they are and what they are made for as children of God.” His vision aligns perfectly with the core of The Culture Project, and his passion for shaping hearts and minds in truth, love, and integrity is unwavering.

We are honored to share that Catholic News Agency recently interviewed Greg Schleppenbach about his new role as CEO, the exciting expansion of The Culture Project, and his vision for the future. You can read the full interview here.

Greg shared, “The most impactful part of this mission for me has been seeing these amazing, beautiful souls in the missionaries, who are giving of themselves in a way that they recognize is going to change the culture.” His words reflect the heart of our mission, and I am confident Greg will continue to lead with passion and dedication.

While I now focus on my family, I will continue to serve on the Board of Directors and in an advisory capacity. I am filled with confidence knowing that The Culture Project is in excellent hands.

For the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of walking with courageous young men and women who have said “yes” to this mission. Together, we’ve shared the beauty of human dignity and sexual integrity, reaching thousands across the country. I’m deeply grateful for each of you—our friends, supporters, and partners. Your faithfulness has enabled us to spread hope and virtue, transforming countless lives.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Your generosity has been the cornerstone of our success, and with Greg’s leadership, I’m confident we’ll continue spreading love, truth, and hope across the nation.

With heartfelt gratitude and prayers,

Cristina Barba Whalen
